Hi, I’m Lian (she/her)!
As a transracial Chinese adoptee raised in a predominantly white community, I understand how important it is to feel seen, supported, and safe. That's why I create spaces—on and off the mat—where people of all backgrounds, bodies, and identities can reconnect with themselves, feel empowered, and move through life with more ease.
That search for belonging is also where the name Jia Holistics comes from. Jia (家) means "home" in Chinese — and it names what I see so many of my clients searching for too: a sense of home in their own bodies and minds, whether that search comes from adoption, chronic illness, or a nervous system that no longer feels familiar.
My approach
I discovered yoga over 13 years ago in Dharamsala, India, and it's stayed with me ever since. I'm trained in therapeutic yoga, sensory-enhanced trauma-informed yoga, yin yoga, and restorative yoga, and I draw on principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine alongside my occupational therapy training to support the whole person—body, nervous system, and spirit.
Who I Work With
I specialize in working with:
Individuals with neurological conditions / chronic health conditions
People navigating life transitions—including fellow adoptees
Training & Credentials
I hold a B.S. in Psychology from George Mason University and an M.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of New Hampshire. I've completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training at Down Under Yoga in Massachusetts and a 300-hour advanced training in therapeutic yoga at Be The Change Yoga in California.
